Since it opened in the fall of 1986, the Schneider Museum of Art at Southern Oregon University has been an integral part of Ashland’s thriving arts community. Made possible by the generosity of the late Bill and Florence Schneider, the Schneider Museum aims to encourage open intellectual dialogue, and greater understanding and appreciation of the fine arts. Located in the heart of Southern Oregon University’s art department facilities, this museum hosts both students and members of the public.
The Schneider offers a space for the community to view works by emerging artists, as well as nationally and internationally-recognized artists.
