‘Twas the day before Christmas, and all through the hotel,
Not a guest was stirring, not even a ringing cell.
The night auditor was finishing the entries for the night,
In hopes his replacement would soon be on site.
The guests were all nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of breakfast burritos danced in their heads.
The houseman was delivering newspapers with care,
And the breakfast staff brewed coffee to be sure it was there.
Everything would be ready when the guests started rising,
Even the fresh burritos were there, which was surprising.
When out in the parking lot there arose such a clatter,
Everyone sprang to the window to see what was the matter.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But the General Manager arriving all dressed in ski gear.
He was carrying boxes of muffins and fresh homemade jelly,
So everyone all day would have a full belly.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to the kitchen,
And set up the muffins and jelly so all could dig in.
When the guests started arriving all rested and spry,
Staff greeted them with smiles and looks in the eye.
They all knew in a moment it was going to be a good day,
It was a Happy Christmas for all, and for all a good stay.
